Pipe Band
We are delighted to anounce that Central Scotland Pipe Band has agreed to play at the Rally.
The band will pipe a mass rally of motor bikes onto the Parade Square of the Scottish Police Colledge around 1630 hours, on Saturday 4 September 2010.
Established in 2006, the band are a community and Grade 2 competition band and comprise 30 + members. Mmembership consists of both police officers and police staff as well as civilian musicians.
The band was officially unveiled on the 29th of August 2006, when the then Chief Constable Andrew Cameron and Central Scotland Joint Police Board Convener Councillor Pat McCafferty inspected the musicians for the first time.
Current Central Scotland Police Chief Constable Kevin Smith is the Honorary President.
The Pipes and Drums of Central Scotland Police wear the distinctive blue and grey Loch Lomond Millennium Tartan, reflecting the fact that one of the most famous areas of natural beauty in the world lies within the force boundaries.
